About the Book

Although she doesn’t know it, Adi is in deep peril. She’s inadvertently made an enemy of a mysterious stranger named Coal, who is just waiting for the chance to take revenge on her and her family.

Innocent Adi is only annoyed when she’s entrusted with taking her pampered younger twin brothers to Europe from India. As a girl, of mixed British and Indian heritage, she’s used to being pushed to one side. But then, Coal moves in, kidnaps the twins, and forces Adi into a terrible bargain of silence and a deadly game.

Adi now knows what real trouble is. Her only clue is the watch full of riddles she has been given. Cutting her hair and dressing in the uniform of a dead solider, she makes her way across a continent darkened by war, encountering allies and enemies from a handsome drunkard to a murderous priest. In a story that reads like an epic legend, Adi must find in herself more courage than any boy, in a desperate bid to save her brothers’ lives and her own.

I am not a fan of the cover but the story seems good! I would love to read this. Hopefully they do a cover change.

I thought the cover was full of vitality, and the synopsis was as good as any I've ever read.

I love the cover. Anything to do with time pieces and I`m game. The book sounds like a great story I could share with, and discuss, with my granddaughters.

The synopsis has a lot of information in it. Would have to read the book for it to make sense.
I like the cover, though.

The cover is nice, but could be better but the synopsis makes up for it. The synopsis gives just enough away that my attention had been caught, but I didn't feel as if I had known the whole storyline.

After reading the synopsis it's clear the cover doesn't match the plot. A partial map of India with some war imagery with a silhouette of a person would catch my eye more.

The cover really doesn't portray the excitement of the synopsis which makes me want to read this book.

The cover is okay but the synopsis makes me very curious, it looks like there will be a lot of adventure.

I love the synopsis it sounds like a great book. I rather like the cover too. The cover is simple which is a nice change from many of the overly detailed covers lately.
