About the Book
London, 1725. Everybody has a secret. Lady A will keep yours—for a price. This sumptuous, scandalous YA novel is wickedly addictive.
Lady A is the most notorious blackmailer in the city. With just a mask and a gown to disguise her, she sweeps into lavish balls and exclusive events collecting the most valuable currency in 1725 London—secrets.
But leading a double life isn’t easy. By day Lady A is just a sixteen-year-old girl named Arista who lives in fear of her abusive master, Bones, and passes herself off as a boy to move safely through the squalor of London’s slums. When Bones attempts to dispose of his pawn forever, Arista is rescued by the last person she expects: Jonathan Wild, the infamous Thief Taker General who moves seamlessly between the city’s criminal underworld and its most elite upper circles. Arista partners with Wild on her own terms in the hopes of saving enough money to buy passage out of London.
Everything changes when she meets Graeden Sinclair, the son of a wealthy merchant. Grae has traveled the world, has seen the exotic lands Arista has longed to escape to her whole life, and he loves Arista for who she is—not for what she can do for him. Being with Grae gives something Arista something precious that she swore off long ago: hope. He has promised to help Arista escape the life of crime that has claimed her since she was a child. But can you ever truly escape the past?

Depends what is considered more valuable.
If it is somethign more valuable and important to me and it was MY secret to trade, yes I would 🙂
I don’t know if I could give up a secret. It would depend on the repercussions of the secret and if it could affect the more valuable something.
Yes because my secrets aren’t all that deep. .
I wouldn’t mind trading my deepest secret depending on what was being offered on the end of the trade. How valuable and important will it be to me? Is it something I truly need and not just something materialistic that has value but could do without.
It would depend on what “more valuable” thing is.
I probably would! I am not great at secret keeping anyway, and there are just way more important things in life than holding in a secret!
Possibly, I’m not sure I would, it would really depend as to what I would be getting in trade.
I probably would. My secrets aren’t worth all that much and I can’t really keep them anyway. Why not if I’m getting something for it.
Maybe, if it is something VERY valuable.
Depends of what is that’s even more valuable than my secret!
It would depend on how much more valuable that something is.
It depends… But then again, what’s more valuable than your deepest secret? (Not that my secrets are very deep, anyways.)
I don’t know, it would depend on whom I told the secret to… 😉
I don’t think I even have a secret that would be considered “deep and dark.”
Perhaps! I really want this book!! Sounds amazing:D
Yes if I was telling the secret to a stranger, if it was someone I knew personally then it would depend what the “valuable” was.
probably i’m not good at secret keeping
Depends really. What is more valuable?
not sure
Maybe if what I was trading it for would be of actual value to me. But honestly in this world there is no such thing as a secret.
The cover is so dark and creative, I love it. I would give my darkest deepest secret away if and probably only if it was something I truly needed and that it was really important.
If it was something that I really wanted or needed I might…
If it was something that I really wanted or needed I might…
It depends on what is considered more valuable. 🙂
a secret is just a secret, sometimes there are a lot more valuable things in life!
I cannot think of anything valuable enough to trade that information for.
It would depend on who I’m telling my secret to, and what is considered more valuable.
I would trade my deepest secret if only the thing I needed would save someone I love
That’s a good question… I guess it depends on the secret and the fallout. Unless the valuable thing would save someone else’s life, then yes.
