My Pillow Keeps Moving (US Only)

by: Laura Gehl

illustrated by: Christopher Weyant

Release Date: January 2018

Publisher: Viking Books For Young Readers

About the Book:

Laura Gehl’s new “dog-turned-pillow” page-turner will keep kids giggling. In it, a resourceful dog makes himself indispensible to his unsuspecting adopted person. The perplexed man was in the market for a comfortable pillow – but got one that acts suspiciously like a pet. He repeatedly returns to the store for help. But with pitch perfect sales acumen, the shopkeeper purports to see nothing awry – leaving space for kids to yell out every visible joke they see.

The book is hilariously illustrated by New Yorker cartoonist, Christopher Wevant and written by award-winning author, Laura Gehl. This new book, which reviewers have called, “a sweet gigglefest” (Kirkus) and “delightful” (Publishers Weekly), takes the most ordinary of shopping expeditions – man buys pillow – and sets up a hide-and-seek game, that all the while is watched by a ready-to-be-adopted cat, who may warrant her own book to follow.

About the Author:

Laura Gehl is the author of popular picture books, including most recently, Peep and Egg: I'm Not Taking a Bath. Laura has four children, all of whom love a good story and a comfortable pillow. She lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Visit her online at www.lauragehl.com

About the Illustrator:

Christopher Weyant is a New Yorker cartoonist who is published internationally. His cartoons are in permanent collection at The Whitney Museum of American Art and The Morgan Library & Museum in New York City, and he has been featured on “The Today Show,” “Meet The Press,” "ABC News With Diane Sawyer" "Late Night with Seth Meyers", CNN, MSNBC, and Fox. I love all of the colors and the cuteness of the cover. The puppy and kitty make me wonder what these 2 are going to end up getting into during the book. I'm assuming it will be clever and funny!! ? My daughter would love this!

I love the delightful cover, and I dare not read the synopsis or it will spoil the excitements and surprises I know the book will contain!

The cover of the book is so cute! The cat reminds me of Heathclif. It's funny because I am my dogs pillow.
