MINUS ME
by Ingelin Røssland, translated by Deborah Dawkin
Release Date: July 13, 2015
About the Book
During a diving competition Linda discovers that she has a rare heart condition and is told that her only hope of surviving is a heart transplant. Sensitive, introspective, and intelligent, Linda refuses to be coddled, despite her parent’s wishes. Determined to experience everything a 13-year-old girl should, Linda starts to work her way through a list of all the things she and her best friend wish to do: have a first kiss, go to a pop concert, travel without parents . . . But as Linda starts to tick these off, a mysterious emo boy called Njal appears — and always at the most unexpected moments. And he is happy to accompany her on daring escapades, particularly those that her timid best friend refuses to go on. But is Njal good or bad? And why is he the only one that Linda can share her fears with?
Minus Me is a gripping, addictive novel — written with heart-stopping emotional honesty — from one of Norway’s most acclaimed young adult writers.

The cover and the synopsis are pretty interesting , thank you for the giveaway
interesting
This is off-topic, but I don’t get the title. Maybe that will be explained in the story? Anyways, the cover is okay… I don’t understand why the theme of the cover is “underwater” (it is, right? I mean, the background is of water and stuff…), except for the fact that Linda finds out about her heart competition during a diving competition. Perhaps that will also be explained in the book? Other than those minor details, the cover is okay. The synopsis is also okay. In my opinion, it’s better than the cover, but it sounds cliche.
The cover’s gorgeous, and makes me think of swimming which represents the diving contest the synopsis begins with. The synopsis sounds really interesting. The story of a girl with a fatal disease has been told over and over again this decade, but Njal’s role is unique and original. I’m excited to see mystery incorporated into this story, which otherwise might be cliché.
The love how the cover is so mysterious. By reading the synopsis I can tell its going to be an unique story
I can’t wait to read it, it sounds awesome. The cover looks awesome as well.
really goofd
The synopsis has me wanting to know more about the character mentioned named Njal and of the story itself. Also, i have nothing to say about the cover other then it is fantastic! When you look at it you really get the idea that its something related to swimming.
Sounds pretty interesting.
