Earlier this week we brought you the cover reveal for CJ Redwine’s DECEPTION. Bet you didn’t think we’d bring another great cover to the table in the same week, but ho ho! We did! (We like to keep you on your cover reveal toes.)

Prepare for the shock and awe that is Mindy McGinnis’s NOT A DROP TO DRINK. But first, a note from Mindy:

Hi YABC readers! I’m very excited to finally be able to reveal the cover for NOT A DROP TO DRINK. I’m a lucky author to have the excellent team from Katherine Tegen Books behind me, and I think you’ll agree that this cover just POPS! It’s visually gorgeous, one of those books that you want to pick up and touch right away. And the artistic depth goes beyond what you see here – it represents the book in tone, and sets the stage for what’s waiting for the reader underneath the eye-catching cover. But you’ll have to wait for September 9th to learn more about that…

Isn’t it gorgeous?! I love the fading from black and white to the eerie yellow. And the chick in combat gear with the rifle? FRIGGIN BAD ASS.

Here’s a bit about NOT A DROP TO DRINK:

Lynn knows every threat to her pond: drought, a snowless winter, coyotes, and, most importantly, people looking for a drink. She makes sure anyone who comes near the pond leaves thirsty, or doesn’t leave at all.

Confident in her own abilities, Lynn has no use for the world beyond the nearby fields and forest. Having a life means dedicating it to survival, and the constant work of gathering wood and water. Having a pond requires the fortitude to protect it, something Mother taught her well during their quiet hours on the rooftop, rifles in hand.

But wisps of smoke on the horizon mean one thing: strangers. The mysterious footprints by the pond, nighttime threats, and gunshots make it all too clear Lynn has exactly what they want, and they won’t stop until they get it….

With evocative, spare language and incredible drama, danger, and romance, debut author Mindy McGinnis depicts one girl’s journey in a barren world not so different than our own.

See? I wasn’t kidding when I said BAD ASS. Wow. I’ve already added this one to my TBR list. And one lucky US winner could get their hands on this one when ARCs become available. Enter in the raffle form below!
