YABC is excited to announce we will be hosting the blog tour for The Symptoms of My Insanity by debut author Mindy Raf! Before we jump into the details of the tour, read on to learn more about Mindy and her laugh-out-loud, bittersweet coming-of-age tale told in a totally true, totally teen voice.

Izzy is a hypochondriac with enormous boobs that won’t stop growing, a mother with a rare disease who won’t admit she’s sick, a best friend who appears to have undergone a personality transplant, and…a date with an out-of-her-league athlete who just spilled Gatorade all over her. Yes, Izzy Skymen has a hectic life. But when a viral text reveals her basketball player crush to be a very different sort of player and her mother’s health takes a turn for the worse, Izzy loses her way. Fortunately, an unexpected and hilarious show of solidarity from the female student body allows Izzy the space to figure herself out.

MTV.com’s Hollywood Crush blog has already deemed The Symptoms of My Insanity, your new favorite title-to-be,” and VOYA praised it as, “Light and funny yet grounded in the often painful sensibilities of teenagers. . . . A touching look at the confusion bred in the alliances of teens as they find their way in the world.”

Debut author Mindy Raf is a writer, comedienne, and musician who has written for VH1’s Best Night Ever, WABC Radio, and CollegeHumor.com. She lives in Brooklyn, New York. Learn more about Mindy at www.mindyraf.com or follow her on Twitter @mindyraf!

Oh, I came across this book just last week and it sounds great :) I'd love to promote it on my blog. I'd especially love to host a guest post. Mindy's writing (or movie) soundtrack, Mindy's most embarrassing teen memory and the post about dealing with loss would be my top three picks.
