YABC is excited to announce we will be hosting the blog tour for The Symptoms of My Insanity by debut author Mindy Raf! Before we jump into the details of the tour, read on to learn more about Mindy and her laugh-out-loud, bittersweet coming-of-age tale told in a totally true, totally teen voice.

Izzy is a hypochondriac with enormous boobs that won’t stop growing, a mother with a rare disease who won’t admit she’s sick, a best friend who appears to have undergone a personality transplant, and…a date with an out-of-her-league athlete who just spilled Gatorade all over her. Yes, Izzy Skymen has a hectic life. But when a viral text reveals her basketball player crush to be a very different sort of player and her mother’s health takes a turn for the worse, Izzy loses her way. Fortunately, an unexpected and hilarious show of solidarity from the female student body allows Izzy the space to figure herself out. 

MTV.com’s Hollywood Crush blog has already deemed The Symptoms of My Insanity, your new favorite title-to-be,” and VOYA praised it as, “Light and funny yet grounded in the often painful sensibilities of teenagers. . . . A touching look at the confusion bred in the alliances of teens as they find their way in the world.”

The Symptoms of My Insanity Blog Tour will kick off here on the YABC blog on April 1 with an exclusive video from Mindy! We’re sending out the call to bloggers who would like to host the tour on one of the sixteen other designated days leading up to publication on April 18, 2013. If you’re interested in participating, please leave your email, a link to your blog, and your top three choices of tour stops in the comments section. If you already have ideas for a guest post, a theme for a Q&A, or anything else, be sure to include it in your comment! A representative for the tour will get back to you next week once we have put our schedule together. Advance reading copies will be available in both physical and egalley form.
