YABC:   What gave you the inspiration to write this book?

I saw a documentary on animal planet about elephant and rhino  poaching, and the emotions the animals showed after losing their babies made me want to do  something  about it. I hope the story of Thunder can help all children understand about animal poahing.

YABC:   Who is your favorite character in the book?

 Thunder and Frederick

YABC:  Which came first, the title or the novel?

Title

In  my  book creation process, the title always comes first.

YABC:   Thinking way back to the beginning, what’s the most important thing you've learned as a writer from then to now?

Write what you are passionate about! And animals are my passion.

YABC:   What do you like most about the cover of the book?

I believe my books and these covers show the reader to believe in themselves, no matter the odds.

YABC:   What new release book are you looking most forward to in 2017?

Rocket Hound, a Race for Freedom

YABC:   What’s up next for you?

I am working on a new story medium animation CGI virtual reality to bring Thunder to life in the school classroom, and one day to the big screen!

YABC:   Which was the most difficult or emotional scene to narrate?

In Book 2,  when Thunder loses his mother...you will need a box of tissues for that one!

YABC:  Which character gave you the most trouble when writing your latest book?

Frederick the flamingo, he is an odd but lovable bird .

YABC:   Which part of the writing process do you enjoy more: Drafting or Revising?

completing the book  LOL

YABC:  What would you say is your superpower?

I am a visionary!

This sounds like a very cute and moving story. With so many poaching reports being circulated, this is definitely an important subject that certainly needs all the attention that can be brought to it.

The cover is certainly appealing and appropriate for the content but I just feel like it's somewhat lacking...
